A letter to the editor: The Chronicle. Jan. 4, 2001 Generosity Meant Kid's Happy Holiday Editor: I am writing to thank the people of Chatham for their contributions to the annual toy drive, sponsored by the fire department and St. Christopher's Church. The addition of the coat drive this year was also very successful, again, thanks to you. I would especially like to thank the employees of the Oyster River Pirate Company for their hard work and generous contribution. This group alone is responsible for nearly 50 percent of the toys donated annually. With all of your help we were able to give a brighter Christmas to 100 children in 40 families in town. We were also able to keep over 20 people a little warmer this winter. I thank you all for caring and sharing the true spirit of Christmas. Have a happy and safe New Year. Kate Hansen
